ETIAS Information

European Union FlagBeginning in mid-2025, individuals from the United States, Canada, and over 60 visa-exempt countries will be required to have a travel authorization, called an ETIAS, to enter most European countries. If your pilgrimage or choir tour is traveling to countries within the European Union, you will be sent information on how to apply for an ETIAS prior to traveling. Peter’s Way Tours cannot apply on behalf of individuals and we recommend applying as early as possible to ensure that you have received your travel authorization prior to departure.

The ETIAS travel authorization links to your passport and is valid for up to three years or until the passport expires. With a valid ETIAS, you can enter countries within the European Union as often as you would like for short-term stays. You can fill out the application form using the official ETIAS website or the ETIAS mobile application, and it costs 7 Euro to apply.

Most applications are processed within minutes. However, it is possible that your application can take up to four days to process. If you are asked for additional information or documentation, or require an interview, the process could take up to 30 days. For this reason, we recommend that you apply well in advance of your planned tour.

Once your application has been processed, you will receive an email about its outcome. Please confirm that your name, passport number, and other information is correct on your ETIAS travel authorization in order to ensure entry into the European Union. If for any reason your application is refused, Peter’s Way Tours will not be held responsible for your lack of valid entry documents, and your enrollment is still subject to the Terms and Conditions outlined on the back of your tour brochure.
