A visit to Ireland has a wonderful mix of history, ancient historical ruins, stunning panoramic views, legendary castles and moats, and the romantic and rugged regions of lakes and bogs. You will be exposed to illuminated manuscripts, religious ecclesiastical centers, arts and crafts, unpretentious homes and villages. The Irish people will engage you with their lively cheerful nature and unparalleled hospitality. Integrate that spirit with liturgies/performances at Kylemore Abbey, the Shrine of Knock, Galway Cathedral, St. Mary’s Cathedral in Killarney, and/or St. Mary’s Pro-Cathedral or one of the fine churches in Dublin. 10-Day Itinerary

Day 1 | Thursday | Depart for Ireland

Day 2 | Friday | Arrive Shannon | Burren Region | Cliffs of Moher | Galway

Take an adventurous drive through the “rocky” Burren Region to the majestic Cliffs of Moher. Today’s travels end in “The City of Tribes.”

Day 3 | Saturday | Connemara | Kylemore Abbey & Knock

The magnificent cinematic Connemara area leads to Kylemore Abbey. Tour the Abbey and Gothic Church. Sung private mass or informal singing available. The pilgrimage centre of Knock is Ireland’s most important shrine and known for healing. Visit the Basilica Chapel of the Apparition, followed by sung Mass.

Day 4 | Sunday | Galway & Clare | Bunratty Folk Park Castle

After singing Sunday Mass at Galway Cathedral enjoy a Corrib River Cruise along one of the most spectacular waterways of Ireland. Celtic Ireland will come alive as you sail south to Craggaunowen. Feast on a meal, “Medieval style,” at the famous Bunratty Castle.

Day 5 | Monday | Dingle Peninsula

This morning’s drive through the Dingle Peninsula will dazzle you! Mountains and beaches, from Inch to Rossbeigh Beach, form one of the most picturesque havens of Ireland.

Day 6 | Tuesday | Killarney Lakes and Muckross House

Explore Killarney Lakes and the scenic Killarney National Park. Visit the restored Muckross House, a magnificent mansion and focal point of the park. Sing for the evening Mass at St. Mary’s Cathedral in Killarney.

Day 7 | Wednesday | Blarney Castle | Waterford | Kilkenny

Leave Killarney for County Cork. Kiss the Blarney Stone and find the perfect traditional Irish gifts at the Blarney Woolen Mills. Visit the famous Waterford Crystal factory.

Day 8 | Thursday | Rock of Cashel | Glendalough | Dublin

Visit St. Cormac’s Chapel, a jewel in the crown amidst a cluster of ruins, on the “Rock of Cashel.” Perhaps you will choose to visit the ancient church, founded by St. Kevin, at the monastic site and village of Glendalough. Optional traditional Irish Dinner with music and dancers!

Day 9 | Friday | Highlights Tour of Dublin | Evening/Mass at St. Mary’s Pro-Cathedral

In Dublin’s “Fair City,” meet the perfect match of mystery and majesty. Walk through elegant Georgian Squares. See the illuminated manuscripts of The Book of Kells at Trinity College. Visit St. Patrick’s Cathedral and sing for evening Mass at St. Mary’s Pro-Cathedral.

Day 10 | Saturday | Return from Dublin
