10-Day Itinerary
Day 1 | Sunday | Depart for Great Britain
Day 2 | Monday | Arrive Manchester - Lake District - Edinburgh
Your journey begins with a drive north to the Lake District. Upon entry into Scotland visit Greta Green.
Day 3 | Tuesday | Full day excursion to the Lowlands including St. Andrews
Tour Forth Valley and Scone Palace just outside the Perth. Tour the ancient town of St. Andrew including St. Rule’s Tower and the Cathedral.
Day 4 | Wednesday | Highlight tour of Edinburgh – Afternoon Concert - Scottish Gala Dinner
Tour Edinburgh Castle and take a stroll down the Royal Mile. Continue on to the Palace of Holyrood. Option to present a concert at St. John’s Church. Enjoy a special Scottish gala dinner featuring bagpipes and Highland dancers at the Prestonfield House in Edinburgh.
Day 5 | Thursday | Edinburgh - Hexham - York
Leave Edinburgh and drive south into England. Continue on to Northumberland National Park for a stop at Hexham Abbey, near Hadrian’s Wall. Arrive for Evensong at York Minster.
Day 6 | Friday | York - Stratford
Tour York’s magnificent Cathedral of St. Peter, followed by an afternoon immersed in the life of Shakespeare. Your tour of Stratford-Upon-Avon includes the house on Henley Street where he was born. Enjoy an evening performance at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon.
Day 7 | Saturday | Cambridge – London
Leave Stratford for the elegant University setting of Cambridge. See Peterhouse, Trinity College, Queens College, and visit Kings College. Option to attend Evensong at Kings College Chapel.
Day 8 | Sunday | Sunday Service in London – Westminster Abbey & Tour of London Tower
Choice of Sunday service (optional singing available). Visit Westminster Abbey which houses the body of St. Edward the Confessor. Continue on to the ancient Bridge and Tower of London.
Day 9 | Monday | Highlight Tour of London, Changing of the Guard – Afternoon at leisure
Highlights of London include Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, Whitehall, Downing Street, Trafalgar Square and Nelson’s Column. The Changing of the Guard ceremony at Buckingham Palace is unforgettable.
Day 10 | Tuesday | Return from London
