Annual Parade in Rome & Vatican City

Bring your music to the Eternal City!
paradeBe a part of this exciting cultural exchange of music from other countries with marching bands, big bands, brass bands and youth bands.

Day 1 | Arrive in Rome

Arrival of participants and check-in at hotels
4.00 PM: Gathering of all bands on Piazza del Sant'Uffizio
5.00 PM: Holy Mass in St. Peter's Basilica. The bands will take part in the celebration playing some music.

Day 2 | Rome

Breakfast at hotel
Gathering of all bands at Piazza Santa Maria delle Grazie
4.00 PM: Start of the parade. Itinerary: Piazza Santa Maria delle Grazie,  Via Candia, Viale Giulio Cesare, Via Ottaviano, Piazza Risorgimento, Via Cola di Rienzo, Via Cicerone, Piazza Cavour, Castel Sant’Angelo, Via della Conciliazione, Piazza San Pietro. Lining up of the bands in circle on St. Peter's Square. Performance of Beethoven's Hymn to Joy (European Hymn)
Pasta-Party. End at 9.00 PM.

Day 3 | Rome

Breakfast at hotel
11.00 AM: Gathering of all bands on Piazza del Sant'Uffizio
Noon: Participation in Angelus Prayer with Pope Benedict XVI.
All together, the bands will perform  "Großer Gott wir loben Dich".

Day 4 | Return Home

Breakfast at hotel
Morning:  Possibility to participate at Mass in the beautiful sanctuaries (Recanti, Loreto, etc)
Depart for home or possible extension.

The organizer reserves the right to make changes required for technical reasons.

Optional additional days and concerts in Italy: If you and your choir are interested in extending your stay in Italy, we will be glad to help make arrangements for you.  Possible extensions to Florence, Assisi, Venice and other cities are available.  Peter’s Way can make additional concert arrangements upon request.
